- TEOR/éTica – TEOR/éTica is an independent, private and non-profit project, located in San José, Costa Rica. It operates as a platform for the research and dissemination of contemporary artistic practices with emphasis on Central America and the Caribbean. It is the oldest management in Latin America coordinated by a curator. Initiative originally founded by the Costa Rican artist, curator, and researcher Virginia Pérez-Ratton, and currently directed by a large work team, it is aimed at “promoting, encouraging and developing the research, study and dissemination of artistic practices in the Central American region. and the Caribbean.” The space has a specialized library, a publishing project, the custody of the archive and collection of the founder, a program of exhibitions, talks and seminars.
