She produces works in performance art , painting,
video , and installation . Her work frequently explores themes such as body politics, geography, gender, space, history, memory, power relations, and confrontation, and explores their psychological repercussions.
She was born in the Sur district of Diyarbakır . He belongs to a family that has lived in Sur for generations. He grew up in a large family with nine siblings. She graduated from the Painting Department of Dicle University’s Faculty of Education in 2004. Shee taught painting in Batman , Diyarbakır and Istanbul for about ten years .
Detained during a hunger strike in Diyarbakır in 2012 and released after a week in detention, the artist produced the glittery video Şiryan (Hand Stitch) , in which she deformed and destroyed her own fingerprints . In 2015, in a new work in which she disrupted and reproduced the structure of this performance, the artist integrated her own body with the reality that the entire fabric of the city had been destroyed, and history and memory had been destroyed. The work was shown in many international cities such as Berlin , Munich , Stockholm , Mexico , and Tehran .
